Concept: Creating a light, airy, character-filled three-level Hampton-style beach home on a small corner site
With 2024 ending soon, we’ve taken the opportunity to illustrate a few architectural projects currently under construction. Each of these renovations is scheduled for completion in 2025.
The brief for this exciting project in Wahroonga, is to transform the existing home into a sanctuary of leisure and modern luxury. The design revolves around creating resort-like facilities uniformly integrated with the existing structure. Central to the project is the addition of a stunning glass-walled gym, allowing residents to stay connected to the serene surroundings.
The outdoor spaces are equally transformative, with a bespoke spa and an inviting fire pit surrounded by built-in seating. These features, along with a casual outdoor lounge and dining area, are framed by operable roofs that provide comfort and adaptability to varying weather conditions.
Every element of this renovation has been carefully designed to enhance the home’s lifestyle appeal while maintaining harmony with its environment. We’ve ensured a fluid connection between indoor and outdoor living by linking these new spaces to the existing house. This project exemplifies our commitment to creating spaces that inspire relaxation and togetherness, delivering a private retreat that caters to modern living needs. It is not just a renovation—it’s creating a home where everyday life feels like a holiday.
This project in Seaforth represents a bold reimagining of a harbourside home, combining innovative design with complex engineering solutions to make the most of a steep and challenging site. A key feature of this transformation is the addition of a subterranean garage and gym, carefully integrated beneath the property to preserve views and maximise usable space.
From here, stair and lift access leads to the main residence, ensuring convenience and accessibility. Above the garage, a stunning new pool and cabana create an elevated oasis, offering a perfect space for relaxation and entertaining while efficiently using the site’s unique topography.
The existing two-storey home is undergoing a complete refurbishment to harmonise with these significant additions, blending modern style with functionality. Every aspect of this project has been carefully planned to address the intricacies of the terrain. This ambitious renovation enhances the property’s aesthetic and lifestyle appeal and sets a new standard for luxury living on challenging harbourside sites. With completion scheduled for mid 2025, the result will be an interplay of form and function, transforming the home into a striking yet practical retreat.
This Chatswood project combines the preservation of heritage charm with the addition of contemporary living spaces, creating a home that beautifully bridges the past and present. Located within a heritage conservation area, the existing front portion of the bungalow is being carefully refurbished to honour its character and historical significance. At the rear, a thoughtful two-storey addition brings modern functionality and style, accommodating a new kitchen, meals, and family room designed for everyday living. Beneath it all, a basement wine cellar offers a sophisticated retreat, adding a touch of luxury to the home’s reimagined layout.
Upstairs, the first floor features two new bedrooms, a bathroom, and a versatile sitting area or study, providing privacy and practicality for the family. Outside, a newly designed pool and garage complement the renovation. This project showcases our commitment to balancing heritage conservation with innovative design, ensuring the bungalow retains its historical essence while meeting the demands of contemporary living. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2025. It’s a transformation that respects the home’s past while confidently embracing its future.
