SEPP Seniors Development North Narrabeen, Sydney
A challenging design project requiring an elevated level of SEPP Seniors houses with additional amenities, each with an individual identity.
There are 11 houses in total, with internal areas ranging from 100m2 to 135m2. Designed to encourage a small community feel and enable residents to remain connected while maintaining a sense of independence, each home includes a balcony, a courtyard, and a lock-up garage.
This project consists of 11 small lot SEPP Seniors houses with the internal areas varying 100m2 and 135m2. 10 of the 11 houses are single level. Each house has a balcony and a small courtyard. All houses have a single lockup garage. The development was designed to encourage a small community feeling, with each house having its own identity and individual entry. The houses can be fully adapted to cater for disability. The development is located near transport services.
The outcome
Each of the 11 houses exceeded expectations with comfort and amenity, ensuring each resident had access to space, outdoor amenities, and a lock-up garage. The landscape surroundings provide privacy and pride in the development, creating a sense of community, which was a key factor to the design brief and council application. Located near public transport and designed to accommodate residents with disabilities, the development was a welcome addition to the area.
