FINALIST 2008 – HOUSING INDUSTRY AWARDS
A project comprising of 18 contemporary 2 and 3 bedroom terrace residences with internal access from basement parking were designed with a dynamic coastal style. Individual recognition of separate units was achieved through varied use of materials, colour and facade treatments. All terrraces face north to take advantage of full sun and street/ocean outlooks.
A value added feature achieved in the design was the roof terrace and study/playroom. To comply with the strict height limits the study/playroom and roof terrace were nestled into the wave like roof form reflecting council's desire to limit the visual aspect of the building into two storeys. The roof terrace enjoys ocean views whilst blade/screen walls maintain privacy from adjoining dwellings.
